Shania Twain

Eilleen Regina Edwards better known as Shania Twain is a Canadian born (Aug 28) singer and songwriter. Her success garnered her several honorific titles including the "Queen of Country Pop." While Billboard named her as the leader of the '90s country-pop crossover stars. She is best known for the ballad, "You're still the one," "That don't impress me much" and "Man! I feel like a woman." After a quiet self-titled debut album in 1993, her second effort, "The woman in me" (1995) gained success in native Canada and in the States. In Canada alone, her first six singles all reached #1 on Canada Country Music chart. Four of those went to #1 on the US Country Chart. "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" and "Any Man of Mine" were released together and peaked at #31 on the US chart. Her third album, "Come on over" had similar success in spawning five singles reaching #1 on Canada Country chart. But this time, the album was an international hit. "You're still the one" was her breakthrough song into the UK chart, reaching #10 and got to #2 on the US chart. Her five top 20 hits in the UK came from "Come on over"

What happened next?
Shania Twain continued her success with her fourth album, "Up". She reached #1 on the main Canada chart (remarkably her only #1 in Canada) with "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!". This reached #4 in the UK in 2002. "Ka-Ching" (#8) and "Forever and for always" (#6) also reached the UK Top 10 in 2003. She most recently collaborated with Ronan Keating on "Forever and ever, Amen" for his album, "Twenty Twenty". Shania has go on to sold over 100 million records, making her the best-selling female artist in country music history and among the best-selling music artists of all time. She has made numerous appearances on TV in states such as Dancing with the Stars, RuPaul's Drag Race, Drop the Mic, Lip Sync Battle and the Voice UK. She also dabbled in bit of acting when appearing in the 2019 film, Trading Paint with John Travolta and the 2020 biopic for Jeremy Camp.
