Rosie Gaines is an American born (Jun 26) singer who is best known for "Closer than close" as solo artist and was a member of prince's group, the New Power Generation. She duetted with Prince on the US R&B #1, US Top 3 hit and title track from said album, "Diamonds and Pearls". "Closer Than Close" itself reached #4 on the UK chart as it also spent 1 week at #1 on UK Dance Chart in June 1997.

What happened next?
In 2015, Rosie Gaines released a couple of hits compliation albums "Essential Rosie" and "Dance with me". The latter being a dance/remix album. Rosie released a couple of tracks in 2018, "Pain" and "Exploding All Over Europe".
