Shaft

Shaft is the only act (to my recollection) that had UK Top 10 hits as two completely different entities. The first incarnation of Shaft comprised of Mark Pritchard and Adrian Hughes. They are best known for making a rave version of the "Roobarb and Custard" theme tune in 1991.

The second incarnation of Shaft was another electronica dance group comprising of Alex Rizzo and Elliot Ireland. They are best known for their mixes of "(Mucho Mambo) Sway".

90 Hits Discography (1991/1999):
Date UK	Song
Dec 1991 7	Roobarb And Custard
Sep 1999 2	(Mucho Mambo) Sway

What happened next?
Presumably the first incarnation of Shaft disbanded long before the second incarnation, otherwise they wouldn't be called Shaft. The second incarnation had another hit in 2000 with "Mambo Italiano" after which nothing new has been heard from them. So perhaps someone else could another incarnation of Shaft in the future?
