Shamen

Shamen are a Scottish dance group consisting of founder members Colin Angus (Aug 24), Derek McKenzie (Feb 27) and Keith McKenzie (Aug 30). Peter Stephenson joined shortly after to take over on keyboards from Angus. When Mr C (Richard West) joined, the band moved on to international commercial success with "Move any mountain", "Ebeneezer Goode" and their 1992 Boss Drum album.
"Move any mountain" was one of four #1 hits on the US Dance chart. Others being "Make it mine", "LSI" and "Phorever people".

What happened next?
Shamencontinued recording into the late 1990s, releasing two additional albums, "Hempton Manor" and "UV" with an increasingly experimental style. The group disbanded in 1999. Mr C has since continued as a house music DJ and became a nightclub owner of The End club. As of 2007, he was also recording as a member of Sycophant Slags, with Adultnapper (Francis Harris). Colin Angus worked on a project called Pablo Sandoz, from 2004 to 2008.
