Strike

Strike were an English dance outfit consisting of producers Matt Cantor and Andy Gardner with female vocalist, Victoria Newton. They are best known for the dance hit, "U Sure Do" (which sampled Donna Allen's "Serious") when it eventually made No 4 on second release in the UK Top 40 in 1995. Both times, it reached #1 on the UK dance chart. Another notable release was their dance version of Paula Abdul's "My love is for real."

90 Hits (Discography):

What happened next?
Strike appear to quietly disbanded after "I have peace" with everyone going on to different projects. Matt Cantor went on to become one half of Freestylers and had semi-hits with "B-Boy Stance" (#23 in 1998) and "Push up" (#22 in 2002). He later trained to be psychotherapist dealing with mental health issues.
Andy Gardner went on to be a member of Plump DJs Victoria Newton launched a solo career but failed to chart with All about Eve's "Martha's Harbour". Her last release appears to a hits collection called "Live for today" in 2016. She did an insightful rockyoumentally interview in 2011. She still performs more in the jazz scene and here is a recentish gig at 606 Club but looks to have returned to Perth, Australia
