St Etienne

Saint Etienne are an English band consisting of Bob Stanley, Pete Wiggs, Sarah Cracknell. The name comes from the French football team of the same name. They are best known for the song, "He's on the phone", which was a reworking of Etienne Daho's "Week-end a Rome."
Their early releases were more dance oriented as 'indie dance' with "Only love can break your heart" and "Nothing can stop us" both reaching #1 on the US Dance chart in 1992. "You're in a bad way" marked their biggest hit in the UK in this time. After a change of style into folk music laced with electronica, "He's on the phone" in 1995 returned them
