Spice Girls is an all-female pop group consisting of Emma Bunton (Baby, Jan 21), Geri Halliwell (Ginger, Aug 6), Victoria Beckham (Posh, Apr 17) Melanie Brown (Scary, May 29) and Melanie C (Sporty, Jan 12). They are best known for the debut and international hit single, "Wannabe," which #1 on both sides of the Atlantic. Their first six releases reached #1 in the UK. Ironically, their seventh single "Stop" stopped that streak. Two more #1 followed including the final "Goodbye" with Geri Halliwell departing the group. They tied (with Beatles and more recently LADBaby) the record of three consecutive Christmas #1s with "2 become 1," "Too much" and "Goodbye".

What happened next?
All the Spice Girls have had decent shots as solo artists.
Initially Melanie Brown had the most success with scoring the first UK#1 as a solo artist with "I want you back" (1998) and followed up with her version of Cameo's "Word Up" (1999). She'd go on to have 3 more top 20 hits with "Tell me" being the best of those reaching #4.
Geri Halliwell arguably has the best record of the girls with four UK#1s, "Mi chico latino" (1999), "Lift me up" (1999), "Bag it up" (2000) and Weather Girls' "It's raining men" (2001). Emma Bunton has had 9 UK Top 20s, with "What took you so long her only solo #1. Victoria Beckham had 4 UK Top 10s with "Out of your mind" with True Steppers and Dane Bowers being the best of these reaching #2.
Melanie C had 2 UK#1s "Never be the same again" with Lisa Left-Eye Lopes and "I turn to you". Most successful solo wise with 11 top 40 hits in total. She also holds the record of reaching UK#1 as a solo artist, duo (with Left-Eye Lopes), a four-piece (without Geri) and a five-piece.
Spice Girls have done so many things as a group and as individuals to mention. Examples include at the closing ceremony of London 2012 and Victoria Beckham's inspiring fashion career.
