Gabrielle

Louise Gabrielle Bobb, better known as Gabrielle is an English born (May 16) R&B and soul singer/songwriter. Her best known single was the debut, "Dreams", which spent 3 weeks at #1 in the UK in June 1993. It was also both a US and Canada chart #1 later that year. Upon the release of the album, "Find your way", Gabrielle followed up with 3 more top 40 hits. The self-titled second album was released in 1996 and contained the lead-off single and Top 5 hit, "Give me a little more time." The album spawned 5 hit singles including the collaboration with East 17 on Shai's "If you ever" and Dionne Warwick's "Walk on by."

What happened next?
Gabrielle continued her success into 2000 with the follow-up to "Sunshine", the title track from the album, "Rise." "Rise" used the back-beat from "Knockin' on Heaven's door" and it gave her second ever UK chart-topper. A further 5 Top 20 followed including "When a woman," "Should I stay", "Out of reach" (from the movie, "Bridget Jones' Diary") and "Don't need the sun to shine". Surprisingly, "Stay the same" was her last UK Top 20 in 2004. Gabrielle recently appeared in the second series of Masked Singer UK (2021) where she was Harlequin and finished a respectable 4th. At the same time, Gabrielle released her 7th studio album, "Do it again" and will be touring in the UK later in 2021.
