Eiffel 65

Eiffel 65 is an Italian electronic/eurodance 3-piece group, formed in the late 90's and best known for their international hit "Blue (Da Ba Dee)". The group consisted of Gabry Ponte, Gianfranco Randone, Maurizio Lobina. The name "Eiffel" was chosen randomly by a computer program and the "65" was scribbled onto their name on a demo by mistake; it was actually part of a phone number. "Blue" reached #1 on the UK chart in September 1999 and go on to spend 3 weeks at #1 on Canada Dance Chart in November 1999. It also reached the Top 10 on the US singles chart.
