Barenaked Ladies

Back in school, a friend once said, "I am going to see Barenaked Ladies!" To which I responded, "I hope your mother is ok that!". Possibly the best named act of all time, Barenaked Ladies were formed in 1988 in Scarborough, in the suburbs of Toronto, Canada. Initially, they were a duo of Ed Robertson and Steven Page before growing into a quintet with brothers Jim and Andy Creeggan and Tyler Stewart. Andy left in 1995 to be replaced by Kevin Hearn. They are best known for their hit singles, "One Week", "The Old Apartment", "Pinch Me", "If I had a million dollars", and "Brian Wilson". The former was a top 5 hit in the UK in 1999. They have won multiple Juno Awards and been nominated for Grammy Awards. Their light-hearted, comedic performance style is a trademark especially at live shows with humorous banter between songs and improvised raps/songs.

90 Hits (Discography):

What happened next?
Original member Steven Page left the band in 2009 and the group became a quartet. Barenaked Ladies are known in the 2010s for creating the theme tune to the Big Bang Theory. Barenaked Ladies are touring (COVID permitting) in North America (Summer 2021) and in the UK at the end of 2021.
