This swedish pop group was formed in 1990 and originally consisted of sibilings Jonas, Linn and Jenny Berggren along with Ulf Ekberg. Often compared with Abba (what with being a 2 male/2 female group from Sweden), they had international success with their debut album "Happy Nation" that spawned many hits including "All that she wants" (43 weeks at UK#1), "The Sign" (US#1) and the Aswad cover "Don't turn around".

What happened next?
Ace of base took a hiatus from 2003. When they reunited in 2007, it was without Linn who wanted the quiet life. Jenny decided to call it a day in 2009. Julia Williamson and Clara Hagman were replacements. The band again disbanded in 2013. Their legacy is quite striking with Lady Gaga, Katy Petty and Clean Bandit semingly influenced.
