Alessia Aquilani, better known as Alexia was born (May 19) in La Spezia, Italy and came to prominence as featured vocalist with Ice MC on "Think about the way", which was on the Trainspotting Soundtrack Vol 2 and "It's a rainy day". On our own, she had a number of hits across Europe and Canada including 4 number 1 hits in native Italy. Her album "Fan Club" spawned "Me and you", "Summer is Crazy", "Number One" and "Uh la la la". The latter was originally a slow pop song but when it was remixed, it became a worldwide hit reaching the top 10 in the UK. A couple of more top 40 hits followed in "Gimme Love" and "The music I like" in 1998, which all came from the album, "The Party".
