Extreme are an American heavy metal group from Boston, originally consisting of lead singer Gary Cherone, guitarist/keyboardist Nuno Bettencourt, drummer Paul Geary and bassist Patrick Badger. They are best known for the US Chart topping acoustic ballad, "More than words" and the associated album, "Pornograffiti".

What happened next?
Geary left the band in 1994 to pursue a career in artist management. Extreme went on hiatus when Gary Cherone became lead singer for Van Halen. A reformation took place in 2004 after a tour in the Azores (Nuno's hometown)/ Kevin Figueiredo joined as drummer in 2007 as they released their most recent album, "Saudades de Rock" in 2008. A second hiatus occured in 2010 before a second comeback in 2015 with tours every year (up until COVID struck).
