Echobelly are an English rock band currently consisting of the original 1992 lineup of vocalist Sonya Madan and guitarist Glenn Johansson. A year or two later, bassist Alex Keyser, drummer Andy Henderson and guitarist Debbie Smith (formerly of Curve) joined. They are best known for their 1995 sophomore album "On" that spawned 3 UK hits with "Great Things" the pick of them reaching #13.

What happened next?
Health and legal issues after the second album hampered progress for Echobelly and their third album "Lustra". They took a hiatus before their fourth album, "People are expensive" was released in 2001. Whilst not quite as successful as the 90s, Sonya Madan and an Johansson have continued to release new material and perform acoustic shows.
