In the early 90s, there was trend for raving up children's tv theme tunes (called Cartoon Rave). The first of those tracks to hit the UK Top 40 was by Mark Summers with a track called "Summers Magic", which ironically hit the charts in middle of winter. The track used the theme tune to the "Magic Roundabout".

- Urban Hype's "Trip to Trumpton", which sampled "Trumpton" (Jul 1992)
- Smart-Es Sesame's Treat, which sampled the theme tune to "Sesame Street" (Jul 1992)
- FAB featuring MC Parker's Thunderbirds are go, which sampled the theme to Thunderbirds (Jul 1990)
- Shaft's Roobarb and Custard, which sampled the theme to Roobarb (Dec 1991)

What happened next?
Whilst Mark Summers registered Summers Magic as his only hit, he has become far more succesful as a producer and sound engineer. He founded and still owns the music production company, Scorrccio in 1996. He provided music for Shapeshifters UK #1 "Lola's Theme", Pitbull "I Know You Want Me", Bob Sinclar, Diplo, Disclosure, The Prodigy, Defected, Spinnin', Armada Records. Winner of an MTV VMA award in 2005 for Best Game Soundtrack "Dance Dance Revolution" (Konami/PlayStation). A London DJ since 1979, he is a guest lecturer and masterclass presenter on sample replay production, sound engineering, DJ culture, sampling and the music industry. . Guest Speaker on panel discussions at the New Music Seminar in New York, June 2015. His productions have been featured on hits for Diplo, Sam Smith, The Prodigy, Pitbull, Fatboy Slim, David Penn, Jess Glynne, Disclosure, Steve Aoki, CamelPhat, Swedish House Mafia and many other notable music artists.
