Messiah

Messiah was formed in 1988 during London's acid house craze by college friends Ali Ghani and Mark Davies. When the pair met at an Iggy Pop concert, they decided to purchase some electronic equipment and make music for fun. When musical chemistry became evident, they began to get into the English techno and rave scene. The duo's brand of techno encompasses the aggression and volume of punk and the diva vocals of house music.
Messiah are best known for "Temple of dreams". The vocals were supplied by Elizabeth Fraser (of The Cocteau Twins) with samples from Prince's "Eye No", quotes from the movies "Running Man" and "VideoDrome". The lyrics are from "Song To The Siren", which was a track on Tim Buckley's 1970 album "Starsailor".

90 Hits (Discography):
Date UK	Song
Jun 1992 20	Temple Of Dreams

What happened next?
Messiah have not released anything since the Progenitor project and the 1997 single "Meditator" although Ali Ghani alledgedly was featured on a couple of early 2000 albums (not sure if this is a different Ali Ghani), while Mark collaborated with Ben Townsend and Wayme Foster on "Second Take" in 2014.
