Jam & Spoon

Jam & Spoon were a German electronic music duo consisting of Jam El Mar (real name: Rolf Ellmer) and Mark Spoon (real name: Markus Loffel). They are best known for working with vocalist Plavka Lonich on the UK Top 10 hit and Canada Dance #1, "Right in the Night". Jam and Spoon had a harder house project called "Tokyo Ghetto Pussy", which is best known for spending 5 weeks as Canada Dance #1 in February 1995 and "I kiss your lips". Another project was "Storm", which yielded a top 40 hit (UK#32) in 1998. Jam was also a member of Dance 2 Trance.

What happened next?
Jam and Spoon as Storm scored their biggest hit in the UK with "Time to burn" in August 2000. Tragically, Markus Loffel died of a heart attack in his Berlin flat, on 11 January 2006 at the age of 39. Plavka is currently part of Rise High Collective (RHC).
