The Grid are an English electronic dance group, consisting of David Ball (born May 3, formerly of Soft Cell) and Richard Norris (born Jun 23), with guest contributions from other musicians. They are best known for the dance track, "Swamp Thing", which reached #3 in the UK charts.

What happened next?
Of late Richard Norris has been with the project, Beyond The Wizards Sleeve with Erol Alkan. Dave Ball has produced and went back to work with Marc Almond as Soft Cell. In 2018, the Grid released another album called One Way Traffic and it appears right now, new material is on the way in the form of Leviathan (with Robert Fripp) in 2021.
