Binary Finary vs Mauro Picotto

Binary Finary are a British trance act, originally comprising Matt Laws, Ricky Grant and Stuart Matheson, who were later joined by Sasha Vatoff who acts as DJ and live performer. They are best known for trance/dance hit "1998". The song was remixed numerous times including by Paul Van Dyk and Gouryella (System F). So much so, "1999" and "2000" followed.

The things that struck me is how similar "1998" is to Mauro Picotto's "Lizard!"

Mauro Picotto is an Italian born (Dec 25) hard house DJ and producer. He is best known for the tracks "Lizard" and "Komodo". He has worked with fellow electronica DJ/musicians DJ Tiesto and Mario Piu.
