D:Ream only released two albums before breaking up. They did reunite in 2008 and their last activity was playing support for Wheatus at a festival in Suffolk in 2012. In 1997, "Things can only get better" was used as the theme tune for Tony Blair's Labour Party election campaign in the UK and represented their last chart hit (as a re-issue). Their keyboardist, Brian Cox went on to become a physics professor and science broadcaster often on the BBC.
