Crush

Crush were originally an English duo of Donna Air and Jayni Hoy. The group came from the British Children's drama, "Byker Grove". In fact, it started as a trio with Vicky Taylor in the group, which was called "Byker Grooove" before evolving into Crush. In the UK, Crush released "Jellyhead" and "Luv'd up" in 1996, both narrowly failing to reach the top 40. However, they were more successful abroad, reaching the top 40 in Australia in 1997. The pumphouse mix by Motiv8 pushed "Jellyhead" all the way to #1 on Canada Dance Chart where it spent 4 weeks on top in January 1997.

90 Hits (Discography):
Date UK	Song
Feb 1996 50	Jellyhead
Aug 1996 45	Luv'd up

What happened next?
"Jellyhead" probably would and should have been re-released. However, Jayni Hoy left the duo and was replaced by Luciana Caporaso. Donna and Luciana went on an international tour promoting "Jellyhead". Jayni moved to Australia and pretty much been quiet ever since. Donna Air went on to be a presenter on MTV UK and the Big Breakfast. In recent times, Donna has taken part in a few reality shows such as "Splash!" and "Dancing on Ice".
Luciana had a couple of hits as a featured artist on Bodyrox's UK#2 hit "Yeah Yeah" (2006) and Super Mal's "Bigger than big" (2007). She is still recording and has a couple of US Dance #1s with "I'm still hot" (2011) and "Yeah Yeah (2017)".
