Marta Marrero (better known as Martika) is an American born (May 18) singer/songwriter. Best known for the 1989 US #1 hit, "Toy Soliders", she has had a UK top 10 hit with "Love... they will be done" for which Prince added the music to her prayer/lyrics.

What happened next?
Martika formed a Latin duo with husband, Michael Mozart called Oppera and recorded a couple of album in the mid-2000s. Recently, she has toured ona few 80s revival shows.
