Magic Affair

Magic Affair is a German eurodance project consisting of producer Mike Staab, singer, Franca Morgano and American rapper Burnell Keith Herring (AK Swift). They are best known for the UK Top 20 hit, "Omen III".

What happened next?
Magic Affair continued to release tracks until 1999 before going to hiatus. A couple of comebacks were attempted, mostly in 2014 with "Hear the voices". Franca Morgano continues to record, mostly on Stefan Rio's "Crush on you".

Madonna

Madonna Louise Ciccone (or just Madonna) is an American born (Aug 16) singer-songwriter and actress. An absolute icon in popular culture since the 80s. In the 90s, she was prolific with no less than 29 UK Top 20 hits including #1s "Vogue" and "Frozen" whilst she had 4 chart toppers in the US with "Frozen", "Justify my love", "This used to be my playground" and "Take a bow".

What happened next?
Madonna has had her (mostly) ups and downs but never really disappeared. In December 2016, Billboard magazine listed her Number 1 on the 100 Top Dance Club Artists of All Time. Not surprising considering, she has had a staggering 50 chart toppers on the US Billboard dance chart, mostly recently with "I don't search I find" in 2020. Recently, she is starting reissue her back catalogue in commemoration of her 40th anniversairy of her recording career and autobiographical movie is in the works.

Lucid

Lucid is a UK house duo consisting of Mark Hadfield and Adam Ryan-Carter, best known for the UK Dance #1 and UK Top 10 hit, "I can't help myself". A couple other singles made the UK top 40.

What happened next?
Despite the number of hits, no album was ever released as no material was released (to date) after the 90s.

Lou Bega

David Lubega Balemezi (Better known as Lou Bega) is a German born (Apr 13) singer, best known for the UK charttopper, "Mambo No 5 (A little bit of)". The 1999 song was a remake of 1949 Perez Prado instrumental piece. Bega's influences consists of combining musical elements of the 1940s and 1950s with modern beats and grooves.

What happened next?
Lou Bega continued to record and release tracks over the years but thus far failed to add to the success of Mambo No 5. However, his most recent releases include the rework of Scatman John (John Larkin) called "Scatman & Hatman" in 2019, which was featured on 2021 album of 90s covers called "90s Cruiser"

Lina Santiago

Lina Santiago is an American born (Sep 5) singer and best known in North America for the song, "Feels so good (Show me your love)". It reached #6 on the US Dance chart and #1 on the Canada Dance chart in 1996. Her follow-up, "Just because I love you" did not fare as well but did reach the US Top 100.

What happened next?
Maybe it's just me but when Britney Spears debuted "Baby one more time, I thought it looked very similar to Lina's album sleeve. In 2017, she was a featured artist on the Randy Taylor-Weber/Lenny Ruckus song, "Mi Amor".

Lil Suzy

Suzanne Melone (better known as Lil Suzy) is an American born (Mar 1) freestyle singer, best known for the song, "Take me in your arms" from her debut album, "Love can wait". She was only 12 at the time of the record. The song reached #67 on the US chart but also #4 ont he Canada Dance chart.

What happened next?
In the 2000s, Lil Suzy oured with Lisette Melendez and Angel Mercado (The Cover Girls) as a trio, S.A.L. (Suzy, Angel, Lisette). Lil Suzy has also toured with Amber, and the now disbanded electronic group, Prophecy Collective. Her last releases were in 2002 as featured artist on Collage's "Don't you want me" and "Dance Tonight" in 2009.

LaTour

William John Latour (or just LaTour) is an American born electronic musician and engineer who is best known for then controversial "People are still having sex", which topped the dance charts in both Canada and USA and reached the top 20 in the UK.
