Heaven 17

Heaven 17 is an English new wave and synth-pop that was formed in Sheffield in 1980 when Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware both left the group, Human League. The formation was a side project of the British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.), the production company formed by Marsh. Glenn Gregory joined the team as the vocalist. They are known for the 1980s songs "Let me go" and "Temptation".
The name "Heaven 17" was derived from Stanley Kubrick's movie "A Clockwork Orange", where Heaven 17 is mentioned as one of the hip bands in the record store scene.
In 1992, a remix by Brothers in Rhythm was released and that gave Heaven 17, their UK top 5 hit in the 1990s. "Temptation" was also featured in the 1996 movie "Trainspotting" and appeared on volume 2 of "Trainspotting: Music from the motion picture".
