Klubbheads

Klubbheads is a collective of dance music producers and DJs from Holland. The collective had a UK top 10 hit and UK dance chart #1 with "Klubbhopping".

Kim English

Kimberly English (or just Kim English) was an American born house singer who had US Dance #1 hit with "Unspeakable Joy" in 1999. Her only UK Top 40 hit was debut "Nitelife" in 1994. which was re-released in 1996.

What happened next?
Kim would go onto have seven consecutive US Dance #1s starting with "Missing you" in 2000 and ending with her last track, "My Destiny" in 2007. In December 2016, Billboard magazine listed her among the 100 Top Dance Club Artists of All Time (as 10th).
Tragically Kim passed away in 2019.

Kicks like a mule

Kicks like a mule is a dance duo consisting of Nick Nalkes and Richard Russell. Best known for the UK Top 10 track, "The Bouncer".

Keith Sweat

Keith Sweat is an American born (July 22) singer, songwriter and record producer. An leading early figure in the new jack swing movement. In 1996, he released the self-titled album that featured the US Top 3 hits "Twisted" and "Nobody".

Ken Doh

Ken Doh is a house music project consisting of Michael Devlin and Steve Burgess. They had #1 on the UK Dance chart in 1997 with the "Nakasaki EP".

Kellee

Kellee Warren (or just Kellee) is an American electronica and house music vocalist who best known for the dance tracks, "My Love" (peaked at #5 on the US Dance chart in 1995) and "This man" (#1 on the US Dance chart in 1997).

Kele Le Roc

Kelly Biggs (better known as Kele Le Roc is an English born (Oct 5) soul/R&B singer. She had two UK Top 10 hits in the late 90s with "Little bit of lovin'" and "My Love" both reaching #8 and taken from the debut album, "Everybody's somebody".

Judy Cheeks

Judy Cheeks is the American born (Feb 13) singer originally recording as soul and R&B vocalist including "Mellow lovin'". In the 90s, Judy turned to dance and scored 5 UK Top 40s with the most recognise track to the UK audience "Reach". "Respect" and "As long as you're good to me" both reached #1 on the US Dance chart in 1995.

Jody Vanessa Watley (or just Jody Watley is an American born (Jan 30) singer, songwriter and producer. She started her career as lead vocalist in the group, Shalamar before a succesful career particularly in her home country. She started the decade with "Everything" peaking at #4 in the USA. She had a number of tracks that reached the top 10 on the Hot 100 Dance chart including #1 "Off the hook" in 1998.

Jimmy Nail

James Michael Aloysius Bradford (better known as Jimmy Nail) is an English born (Mar 16) actor and singer. Best known in the 80s for starring in "Auf wiedersehen pet" and the track "Love don't live here anymore" reaching UK#3 in 1985.In the 90s, he starred in Crocodile Shoes and sung theme tune. But ultimately he is best known for the 1992 UK chart topper, "Ain't no doubt".

Isotonik

Isotonik is an alias of English born DJ Chris Paul and is best known for the dance/rave track "Different Strokes", which surprisingly has nothing to do with the 80s TV show of the same name.

Isha D

Beverly Reppion (better known as Isha D) is an English singer songwriter. She has performed backing vocals for numerous artists but it is as her alter ego, Isha D that she has some success with the underground house and UK Dance #1 hit, "Stay (Tonight)".

Hyperlogic

Hyperlogic is an English hard house production team featuring Tidy Trax (Tidy Boys) owners Amadeus Mozart (not Wolfgang) and Andy Pickles (member of Jive Bunny) and had hit dance single "Only Me" that heavily sampled the baseline of U2s "New Years Day".
Paul Janes, legendary UK hard house producer, remixer and engineer joined the team on a second single "U Got The Love".

Mozart and Pickles still run the Tidy brand as the Tidy Boys and have their own twitch sessions.
Paul Janes has had a heavy hand in the makings of today's Hard Dance scene. But is difficult to pinpoint what he is up to as he has recorded under so many pseudonyms for labels including Positiva, Data Records, Tidy Trax, Untidy Trax, Nukleuz, Vicious Circle Recordings, Tripoli Trax, Elasticman Records, Nebula, Bulletproof Records, Recharge, Frantic and Overdose Records to name a few.

Human Resource

Human Resource is a Dutch hardcore/techno group established in 1990 by Robert Mahu & Johan van Beek. They are known for various versions of "Dominator".

What happened next?
Later joined by keyboardists Jasper Drexhage and Guido Pernet (also MC), as well as by rapper and former professional basketball player Larenzo Nash. In 1992 Van Beek left without being replaced. Soon after rapper Marvin D (Marvin Tholen) became a band member but left in 1995. After Drexhage's departure over dissatisfaction with their new hardcore sound he was replaced by Sander Scheurwater. Human Resource disbanded at the end of 1990s.
In 2004 Guido Pernet formed the band once again, this time with Zenon Zevenbergen (as MC) and Maurice Steenbergen. Zevenbergen left soon after the tour in 2005. The same year they introduced the new Hardcore-Gabber music festival Dominator. Last known release was a collaboration with Miss Djax vs Marshall Master on "Stereo Destroyer" in 2010.

Human League

Human League is an English Electronic and synth-pop band consisting of Phil Oakey, Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley. The group was originally formed in 1977 by Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh when Phil Oakey joined in 1978, they had changed their name from "The Future" to "The Human League". Ware and Marsh left to form Heaven 17. Oakey kept the band name and added female vocalists, and it is this incarnation that gained widespread popularity. They are best known for 80 hits, "Don't you want me" and "Human". In the 90s, they made a resurgence, with "Tell me when" their first top 10 hit for a numbe of years.

Heaven 17

Heaven 17 is an English new wave and synth-pop that was formed in Sheffield in 1980 when Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware both left the group, Human League. The formation was a side project of the British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.), the production company formed by Marsh. Glenn Gregory joined the team as the vocalist. They are known for the 1980s songs "Let me go" and "Temptation".
The name "Heaven 17" was derived from Stanley Kubrick's movie "A Clockwork Orange", where Heaven 17 is mentioned as one of the hip bands in the record store scene.
In 1992, a remix by Brothers in Rhythm was released and that gave Heaven 17, their UK top 5 hit in the 1990s. "Temptation" was also featured in the 1996 movie "Trainspotting" and appeared on volume 2 of "Trainspotting: Music from the motion picture".

Marsh left the band in 2007 with Ware and Gregory continued to perform as Heaven 17. They have been embarking on their "(We dont need this) Fascist Groove Thang tour over the last couple of years.

Herbie

Herbie Crichlow (or just Herbie) is an English born (Nov 26) singer and producer. He is best known in dance circles for the mid 90s eurodance album, "Fingers" that featured four Canada Dance Top 10s, including the #1 hit, "Right type of mood". He also struck the UK chart as featured (rap) artist on 3T's "Gotta be you"

Herbie collaborated with other songwriters and producers including Max Martin, RedOne and Denniz Pop. He went to write songs for the likes of the Backstreet Boys, Zayn Malik, Robyn, Rita Ora and Five. He resides in Sweden and has go on to win the ASCAP award for "most played song of the year". Herbie recently released his second album "The art of making music for the people" in 2021.

Hed Boys

Hed Boys was a project compromising of the house duo of English born (Jun 18) David Russell Lee (or just Dave Lee) and Andrew Livingstone. Both had numerous aliases and for Hed Boys, Dave was known as "Brad Hed" and Andrew "Gavin Hed". Together they are best known for "Girls and Boys". "Girls and Boys" was popular in the clubs, so much so that the song sparked a bidding war among labels. For fun, they kept the identity of the Hed Boys under wraps by inventing ridiculous personas for themselves, newbie producers complete with large unruly wigs, bristling moustaches & outlandish accents. It was some time before they were discovered and revealed to the UK music press. The song would become #1 on the UK Dance chart in 1994.
