Natalie Imbruglia

Natalie Imbruglia is an Australian born (Feb 4) singer, songwriter, and actress. Before crossovering into music, she appeared as a debut in Austrlian soap opera "Neighbours" between 1992 and 1994. She made her breakthrough in 1997 with a Grammy-nominated cover version of "Torn", as originally performed by US band Ednaswap, which gave her huge international success.

What happened next?
Natalie Imbruglia would have 6 more UK Top 30 hits in the 2000s with "Shiver" the best of these making #8 in 2005. In 2003, she was leading lady in the first "Johnny English" movie. Her most recent album was "Firebird" in 2021. In 2022, Natalie appeared and won the third season of the Masked Singer UK and appeared the final episode of "Neighbours".

Nalin & Kane

Nalin & Kane are a German trance duo consisting of Andreas Bialek (Nalin) and Ralf Beck (Kane) and are best known for anthematic, "Beachball", which was #1 on the dance charts of the UK and Canada.

MTS

MTS was an American Eurodance project created in Miami, Florida. Originally, the projects's acronym stood for "Max, Tolga and Stacy", later changed to "Move Through Sound". MTS is best known for the song "I'll Be Allright", number one in Canada Dance Chart. The members were Tony Delaney, Tonia Lee and Melissa Hamm.

What happened next?
An album, "Let it go" was released in 1996 and a second single, "I'm gonna make you love me" was promoted but that was the extent of the activity from MTS.

Mr Roy

Mr Roy is actually trio consisting of Alun Harrison, Graham Simmons and Mark Mumford. They are best known for reworking the BBC Test Match Cricket theme tune (Booker T & The MGs' "Soul Limbo") on the track, "Saved". They actually scored 2 UK Dance #1s in 1995, "Something about u" was the other #1.

What happened next?
No new material has been released since 1999's "Speeding up the beat". Although a 2019 remix of "Something about u" was made by Mark Knight.

Moloko

Moloko is an electronic music duo formed in England, consisting of Irish born (July 5) vocalist Roisin Murphy and English born producer Mark Brydon. Together they are best known for the UK and US Dance #1, "Sing it back". "Sing it back" was written in honour of the regular house music party, "Body & Soul". The name was conceived from the drink consumed by Droogs in the Karova Milk Bar in "Clockwork Orange".

What happened next?
Moloko would have #2 hit in the UK with "The Time is Now" in 2000. "Pure Pleasure Seeker", "Familiar Feeling" and "Forever More" were further hits in the UK. Moloko disbanded in 2003. Roisin Murphy launched a solo career with "Let me Know" (UK#28 in 2007) her biggest hit to date and last album, "Roisin Machine" was released in 2020. Mark Brydon continues work as aranger and remixer (as DJ Plankton).

Martika

Marta Marrero (better known as Martika) is an American born (May 18) singer/songwriter. Best known for the 1989 US #1 hit, "Toy Soliders", she has had a UK top 10 hit with "Love... they will be done" for which Prince added the music to her prayer/lyrics.

Martha Wash

Martha Elaine Wash (or just Martha Wash is an American born (Dec 28) singer and songwriter, known for her distinctive and powerful voice. Before the 90s, she was best known for one half of the Weather Girls. In the 90s, she had some success particularly as a featured artist working with Todd Terry. She was quite prolific US Dance chart where she hit the top spot with "Carry on" (1992), "Give it to you" (1993) and "Catch the light" (1998) that she got dubbed the "Queen of Clubland". But she perhaps best known after the fact for performing vocals for both Black Box and C&C Music Factory as stated by the Rolling Stone!

Martha Wash continues to record and tour. Mostly recenntly, she recorded the album, "Love & Conflict" and was released in 2020. In December 2016, Billboard magazine listed her among the 100 Top Dance Club Artists of All Time (as the 58th). Wash has scored 7 US dance #1 hits (excluding the ones with Black Box and C&C Music Factory).
