Queen is one of most well known English rock bands of all time consisting of enigmatic lead singer Freddy Mercury, guitarist/singer Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and bassist John Deacon. They formed in 1970. With countless hits in the 70s and 80s, they had continued success in the 90s including a #1 with "Innuendo". However, that was curtailed when Mercury died due an AIDS related illness. The re-issue of Bohemian Rhapsody as a result of Mercury's death and being featured on the Wayne's World soundtrack spent 5 weeks at UK#1. Brian May had a couple of solo UK Top 10 hits with "Driven by you" and "Too much love will kill you"

The legacy left by Queen is well documented. There is a musical, "We will rock you" as well as the Oscar-winning movie, "Bohemian Rhapsody". Between 2004-2009, Paul Rodgers (of Free fame) toured with Queen. From 2011, Adam Lambert joined and has been part of Queen ever since.
